| Accessible Workstation |
With the help of the Trexler Foundation, we are pleased to be able to provide a computer workstation that is more accessible to library users with physical difficulties. A larger 21-inch monitor and a new keyboard with large letters will allow better viewing and easier typing for people with visual problems. An easy-to-use trackball replaces the mouse at this workstation allowing easier use by people with impairments of arm function and can be used either on the left or right side. At a wider table, people in wheelchairs should have greater access to the workstation as well. These features complement those available on all of our computers including: Magnifier, Narrator, Onscreen Keyboard, High Contrast Display, StickyKeys, FilterKeys, ToggleKeys, SoundSentry, ShowSounds, and MouseKeys. |
