FOL Booksale -- Now All Year Round!

Instead of an annual book sale, the Friends of the Library have established an area inside the library for an ongoing book sale. Now you can shop for used books all year round. Hard back books are $1.00; paperbacks are $.25.

Stop by and take a look at the great bargains.

Also, if you are doing spring cleaning, keep the library in mind if you want to donate used books in good condition. We do not accept magazines, school textbooks or encyclopedias.

Online Holds

From your home computer, you can place a hold on an item that another library user has checked out so that you will be notified when the item is returned.  Holds may also be placed at the library, by phone, or online. You must have a current library card and personal identification number (PIN) to place holds online.

There is a $.50 charge for placing holds. Holds can only be placed on items that are not currently available in the library. Holds fees are not refundable if you choose not to pick up the book when it becomes available.

Pick up our brochure: Beyond the Walls: Placing Holds, Saving Searches, and Viewing Your Library Account From Your Home PC.

Online Renewals of DVDs and Overdue Items

We have changed our policy and now are allowing people with overdue items to renewal them online. Items may be renewed to a maximum total of $10.00 in fines or DVD fees. Please note that our policy of counting items returned prior to 9:00 am only applies to items returned to our after-hours collection boxes. Items renewed after 11:59pm the day due are considered Overdue by 1 day.

Thank You...

... to all of our friends that contributed to our annual fundraising. While we have not met our goal, we are very grateful that so many appreciate the efforts of the library and are willing to contribute to continuing and expanding library services. Thank you so very much!

Library Receipts

When you check out materials or pay fines or fees at the library, we provide you with a printed receipt of your transaction. Please keep these receipts as they are necessary if you have any questions about payments made on your account. They also come in handy as a checklist when you are planning on returning a bunch of items to the library.
